dc-dc boost converter, in most of case, has good dc input. and the PFC, in most of case, has full wave rectifier input,(because of the input capacitor value should be low, and for filter swiching frequency only). This makes the calculation of pfc choke rather bothersome.
Furthermore, some pfc ic (like L6561/2) has variable switching frequency(switching frquency is high at input wave low end, and is low around peak of input wave).
